Privacy Policy

YardRemake("we", "us") is an AI yard-design service: you upload a photo of your yard and we generate redesigned versions of it, backed by a real plant catalog. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using YardRemake, you agree to this policy.

Account information. You sign in with Google or Apple — we never handle a password. From that we receive your email address and, depending on the provider, your name and profile photo. Sign-in itself is managed by a third-party authentication service.

Content you provide. Yard photos you upload, the designs and videos generated from them, projects and notes you create, plants and products you favorite, and the growing zone and city you set (derived from a ZIP code you enter).

Your address, if you use it.If you choose "Use my address" instead of uploading a photo, we send that address to Google to fetch a Street View image of the property, which then becomes your "before" photo. We don't store the address itself, but the resulting photo of the home is stored with the design like any other upload.

Your ZIP code. When you set a growing zone, your browser sends the ZIP directly to two public lookup services — one returns the USDA zone, the other the city and approximate coordinates. Those services see the ZIP and your IP address. The result is saved in your browser, not on our servers.

Payment information. Subscriptions are handled by an established third-party payment processor, on its own secure pages. Your card details go straight to them and never touch our servers — we store only their customer and subscription identifiers, your plan status, and when the period ends.

Where it lives.Your designs and favorites are stored locally in your browser. When you sign in, your photos, designs, and videos are also stored on our cloud infrastructure so they follow you across devices. Your account is identified there by a random user ID — we don't store your email address on our own servers.

Technical data. Our infrastructure providers keep operational logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the requests made) needed to run and protect the service.

We use your information to provide and improve the service: generating designs from your photos, saving your library, fitting plant recommendations to your growing zone, and responding to support requests. We do not sell your personal information.

To generate a design, your photo and the instructions you chose are sent to a third-party AI provider that runs the image and video models on our behalf. After a design is generated, we send the generated image — not your original photo — to a vision model to identify which plants it actually drew, so the plant list you see is real rather than guessed.

To make this work, your photo is placed at a temporary web address that the AI provider can fetch. That address is long and unguessable but not password-protected, and the file is deleted once generation finishes. Generated videos are similarly served from an unguessable link, and are passed through a video processing service to add the watermark.

Please don't upload photos that include people, license plates, or anything else you wouldn't want processed by an AI service.

If you create a share link for a design, that design — including your original "before" photo, the redesign, the plant list, and any videos — is published to a public page that anyone with the link can open without signing in. The link is long and unguessable, but the page is not private and can be indexed by search engines or cached by messaging apps that generate link previews.

Only share designs you're comfortable making public, and bear in mind the "before" photo shows your actual property. There is currently no self-serve way to unpublish a share — email us and we'll remove it.

Some product links (for example, planters on Amazon) are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases — at no extra cost to you. Third-party sites you visit through those links have their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies.

We use a privacy-friendly analytics product to understand overall site usage — things like page views, referrers, country, and device type. It is cookieless and aggregated: it doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other sites, and doesn't identify you personally. That is the only analytics or tracking product we run — no advertising pixels, no ad-network cookies, no cross-site profiling.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers that make the product work, each handling it on our behalf for the purpose listed:

• An AI generation provider — image and video generation, and plant identification (receives your photos and prompts).
• Google — sign-in (and Apple, if you use it); Street View imagery and address autocomplete if you choose the address option. These are services you interact with directly.
• Cloud hosting and storage providers — running the service, and storing your designs, videos, and public share pages.
• A payment processor — subscription billing.
• An analytics provider — aggregate, cookieless usage statistics.
• ZIP-code lookup services — turning your ZIP into a growing zone and city, called directly by your browser.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the service from abuse.

You can delete any saved design from within the app. That removes it from your library and from your browser's storage immediately. We want to be straight with you about the cloud copy: today, deleting a design marks it deleted in our database and hides it everywhere, but the stored image files are not yet automatically purged from our storage. We're building that cleanup; until it ships, email us and we'll delete them by hand.

We otherwise keep your designs for as long as your account exists, so they're there when you come back. To delete your account and everything associated with it — including any share pages — email support@yardremake.com and we'll take care of it.

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us and we'll honor them.

YardRemake is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
